Service Description
Learning to write in cursive form has many benefits for students with difficulties in spelling including but not limited to students with dyslexia. It is a great way to connect to your written word and writing in cursive hand has been proven to improve over all well-being. This course will cover: Explicit teaching in writing in lower and upper case in cursive handwriting. Guidance on posture and accommodations to improve handwriting. Examining poetry to improve phonological awareness, identify spelling patterns and to improve comprehension of an authors intention. Opportunities to apply new skills through weekly cursive homework. The course will last 8 weeks and will cost $280 (i.e. $35 per session). The class will take place on Wednesday from 3.15pm-4.00pm at my home classroom in Nelson
Cancellation Policy
A decision to begin tutoring is a valuable commitment and attending each session builds momentum in learning. However, I am aware that from time to time unavoidable circumstances can prevent your child attending a session. Therefore I ask: Inform me as soon as possible if you have a need to cancel. I require 24 hours notice of cancellation of a session in order not to be charged. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice must be paid in full. Excessive cancellations may result in the termination of tutoring services.
